A message to our Rabies Laboratory clients regarding COVID-19
To Our Valued Customers,
Until further notice, we will be suspending Expedited Services for FAVN Samples and no longer offering Rabpacks. Courier requests will be honored if paid online and a copy of the receipt included in the package at the time of receipt. Reissue report service will continue to be offered with delays, but must be paid online. We are doing our best to process FAVN and RFFIT serology testing within a 3 to 4-week timelines, however EXPECT DELAYS as timelines are changing quickly with developing events in the pandemic. We are experiencing increased emails and phones calls at this time and appreciate your patience.
Please see the message from Richard Meyers, Kansas State University President regarding the KSU’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic at this link: https://www.k-state.edu/today/info/announcement/?id=63108. Be aware that we in the rabies laboratory are working to meet the new guidelines for restricted on-site work, while conducting work in as timely a manner as possible. Delays are expected in providing rabies serology results to you, and rabies diagnostic results will be reported each day between 6-7 p.m.; we appreciate your understanding during this time. We will strive to inform you of delays as soon as possible.
Guidelines and restrictions are updated often, and we will adjust as best we can. Continue to check the rabies laboratory website as updates will be added as necessary.
